Lately, I have been having fun making different nut and seed milks. My favorite at the moment is a vanilla cacao hemp seed milk. It is so easy to make and you don’ t have to strain it like nut milks.
Look at the benefits of hemp seeds:
One of the most important features of hemp seed is that it is a superior source of protein. It is easily digestible and it also contains a wide variety of minerals and vitamins, but its most distinctive property is that it provides both omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acids, or EFAs. These acids are known as linoleic and alpha-linolenic, respectively. What makes these essential oils crucial is that they are not manufactured in the human body, and must be consumed as food. Hemp has an optimal ratio of these two fats at 3:1.
I use hemp seeds daily in my diet in the usage of salads, smoothies, tonics, and mostly in this lovely milk. Fabulous tasting beauty food. My skin responds beautifully when I am consistent with intake of hemp seeds in my diet.
Vanilla Cacao Hemp Seed Milk

- 1/3 cup hemp seeds
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla bean powder or 1 TB. vanilla extract
- Stevia (NuNaturals brand) to taste
- 1 to 2 TB. of raw Cacao or Carob powder
Combine all ingredients in Vitamix and turn on high for about 30 or so seconds till creamy.
Pour into a sealed glass container and refrigerate for using in smoothies, tonics, coffee, tea or just drink it straight up.
It’s delicious! My husband loves it in his morning coffee along with 1 TB. of coconut oil.
Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed. 🙂
My Sunday lunch.
Massaged kale salad with avocado, lemon juice, stevia, hemp seeds, fresh home sprouts, grape tomatoes & chipotle powder.
Raw Tortilla soup with fresh cilantro, scallions and Organic blue chips.
Filling, yet I feel so refreshed and vibrant.
Raw food at some of its finest!
This was a perfect meal after having been outside for awhile doing yard cleanup. We had a tremendous storm come thru yesterday evening and dropped hail and 3 to 4 inches of rain in an hour time and 30 mile an hour winds – Holy Crap! After the cathartic storm, it was beautiful this morning and only had a few tree limbs break and lots of tree limb cleanup – not bad for what rolled thru here. No hail damage! Yay! It was a cleansing of sorts.
Here’s one of my dogs, Gigi, helping me outside in the yard.
Positive living involves choosing corresponding words. Positive affirmations are solutions that will replace whatever problem you might have. By repeating theses affirmations over and over, you’ll be planting new seeds in the fertile soil of your subconscious mind, and they’ll become true for you. If a negative or old thought pops up (which it will in the beginning), acknowledge it, be aware of it and say “I see you, I thank you, OUT, but you are no longer a part of my vocabulary or thought pattern.” Then continue with affirmations as much and as often as possible to re-boot the circuitry in the subconscious till it becomes one with you. That which we constantly affirms becomes true for us.
*I give myself permission to change.
*I create a new life with new rules that totally support me.
*I easily and comfortably release that which I no longer need in life.
*I am willing to change and grow. I now create a safe, new future.
*I now choose to support myself in loving, joyous ways.
*I deserve the best, and I accept the best now.
*I am trusting, I am releasing. I ask for what is of the highest service to myself and to the world.
These are just a touch of many that can be said. I wake up every morning acknowledging what I am grateful for – my health, my dogs, my wonderful husband, everything that is in my life, even down to the detail of the beautiful, organic seedling plants in my garden. To the sound of the birds. My Vitamix! 🙂 Yes, I tell it I LOVE YOU every day. When you are appreciative of things you have in life, more will come to you in positive ways.
Have a wonderful day!
